Monty

Monty was originally an alpha street dog in a Romanian town for many years, successfully dodging the dog catchers and keeping all the local bitches, cats and even the humans who feed the street animals safe in his territory. With age he slowed up and developed cancer, one of the feeders asked Irina to step in and take him in to her Romanian shelter. He proved to be a loyal and protective dog at the shelter even though age and health was not on his side. Whilst Steph, Rescue Me founder was visiting the Romanian shelter Monty nearly died as he got caught in a brawl with a huge dogo argentino and several other dogs whilst trying to defend Irina. He isn’t very homable but he is very special so Steph offered him a retirement home at Rescue Me if he survived and we are delighted that he did unlike many others who are not as fortunate.

Gracie

Gracie is originally from Romania, and was hand reared as a pup

Initially, Gracie was extremely fear aggressive so was for a long time, a single handler dog.
